SignSafe in the register of trust service providers: what it means and what it does not
2026-10-18 · Updated: 2026-10-18
SignSafe is entered in the public register of trust service providers as a non-qualified service: entry no. 27 of 11 January 2022. It means the provider notified its document-signing service to the national trust infrastructure. It is not a qualified signature or a quality certificate, and the legal effect of a SignSafe signature rests on the legal opinion, not on the entry itself.
SignSafe is entered in the public register of trust service providers. Below we explain what the entry means for customers and for the validity of signatures, and what it does not mean. This is a summary, not legal advice.
What exactly is entered?
The service is entered in the register of non-qualified services under number 27, dated 11 January 2022. The register is part of the national trust infrastructure and is public. The registered service is named “a service of handling electronic signing of documents through the SignSafe platform”, and it is provided on the basis of the platform’s terms.
The provider appears under the company’s former name, CRM Group Sp. z o.o. The identifying data are the same as today: KRS 0000742005, tax ID (NIP) 1182178080, registered office in Gdańsk (al. Gen. J. Hallera 134/197). The company has changed its name to SIGNSAFE SP. Z O.O. and has notified the change.
What does the entry mean?
- The service is open to verification. Anyone can open the entry card and check the provider, its details and the type of service.
- The provider operates within the national trust infrastructure as a non-qualified trust service provider.
- The company’s details are consistent across the register, the company register (KRS) and signsafe.app.
What does the entry not mean?
- It is not a qualified signature. The entry concerns a non-qualified service. A SignSafe signature is a handwritten signature placed on screen, and when the law requires a qualified signature, one can be connected in SignSafe.
- It is not a certificate or an approval. A non-qualified provider enters the register on its own notification. The entry is not an assessment of the service’s quality.
- It does not replace the legal opinion. That a SignSafe signature meets the written form requirement comes from the opinion of the law firm Gałecki and Associates of 21 August 2023, not from the entry. We describe this on the legal security page, where all opinions can be downloaded.
Why does it matter when choosing an e-signature tool?
When choosing a provider it is worth checking whether it is openly registered and whether you can verify that at the source. The register entry is one such point, alongside the legal basis of the signature, where data is stored and the pricing model. The other criteria are in our guide how to choose an e-signature tool.
